Politics! Most people seem to think it is a "stay away from" subject. Well, like any other Nation that has fallen, the majority did just that, "stay away" that is. Why aren't we talking about what…Continue

At this time of the republican debate in the U.S., to pick the Republican to go against Obama, this year, for the presidency.... I find this group meaningful. Thank you. I just watched some of the Florida debate. Loved it.
Michael, I agree with you 100%. I'm writing a novel in hopes to bring awareness of how we became a free nation, and why we should defend these freedoms.
Sorry, there's a gletch on my profile page that won't allow me to change being represented by a dog and have on a photo of me.
IN Response to Marie Krause`s comment.
Its amazing to me how many people do NOT know who wrote the constitution, what their backgrounds were and why they wrote it in the first place...
In 1776 we were finishing up a war with England to separate ourselves from the British Empire ie..Englands kings and autoritarian rule... so our forefathers wrote a constitution to embark a new form of government frr of tyrannical rule by and kingdom or ruler... A country of the people by the people and for the people...our constitution was designed to protect us from Authoritarian rule and tyranny.....Our government cannot tell us what to say, do, feel, worship or any other form of control....In other words our forefathers wrote the constitution to protect us from our own government more than any other threat!
So...what do we have today? We have a government that is attemptint to tell us what to say. and do, and think, and worship...alll wrapped up in an amazingly expensive package.....
How can we even afford to fund our behemoth government that our own founding fathers would abhor and detest?
Maybe its time to take back our government from bureaucrats and return it to the way it was intended. A free society with minimal governmental involvement"

Instead of wondering, "What will I get this Valentine's Season?", let us ask, "What can I do for so in so?". One this is for sure. You will have a great day!
Ideas of Gifts:
For Parents:
Volunteer to take some pictures of them as a couple. Put them in front of a nice backdrop and make sure they get some poses kissing and cuddling. Print them for them and put them in a cute frame.
For Nieces/Nephews:
Make them a valentine with specific compliments on them. Make a little baggie with stickers and crayons or treats to go with it. Make it specific to them and relate the items in the bag to qualities they have that you admire.
For a Lover:
Give them things that they have specifically expressed an interest in, not things that you like or see value in that they may not feel the same way about.
Specify house projects you will help them with each season of the year or get them something for that season so they can 'feel the love all year round': gardening in spring (flower pot), shoveling in winter (ice melt/snow blower), raking in fall (rake), watering in summer
(sprinkling system or sprinkler or get them a fan to stay cool, or a nice water bottle or hat)
For a Friend:
Write a poem.
Tell them all the reasons you are grateful they are in your life.
Pray for an opportunity to show you care and express your love.
Give hugs.
Make a phone call.
Say sorry and ask forgiveness. Forgive.
Write a song.
For God:
Love one another; in THOUGHT, WORD and DEED
Love Him above all else and make sure that what you love fits in with His plan for you!
For Self:
